But who is actually behind LOFINA?
LOFINA is a small family business founded in 1996 by the married couple Lise-Lotte and Morten Svenninggaard. They met and fell in love as 18-year-olds at a design school for shoes in Denmark. They both share a fascination for shoes and the motherland of all shoes: ITALY!
This is where they learned the craft of shoemaking and this is exactly what we love so much - it's not just the design that counts, every shoe also needs to be comfortable to wear!
After many years of experience, they moved back to Denmark and started their LOFINA adventure together. Both daughters are now working in the family business.
When he was recently asked how it is to work very close with the own family Morten Svenninggaard put it this way: " 'Thank you' is too small a word when you are lucky enough to work with your gold!"
A family that loves genuine shoe craftsmanship and where everyone contributes their expertise.

Aber wer steht eigentlich hinter LOFINA?
LOFINA ist ein kleines - 1996 gegründetes - Familienunternehmen des Ehepaares Lise-Lotte und Morten Svenninggaard. Kennen- und lieben gelernt haben sie sich als 18-Jährige auf einer Designerschule für Schuhe in Dänemark. Beide verbindet die Faszination zum Schuh und dem Mutterland aller Schuhe: ITALIEN!
Hier lernen sie das Schusterhandwerk kennen - und das ist genau der Punkt, der uns so begeistert: nicht nur das Design zählt, jeder Schuh braucht auch den optimalen Tragekomfort!
Nach zahlreichen, erfahrungsreichen Jahren zieht es sie zurück nach Dänemark und hier starten sie ihr gemeinsames LOFINA-Abenteuer. Mittlerweile sind beide Töchter im Familienunternehmen tätig.
Morten Svenninggaard formulierte es kürzlich, als er gefragt wurde, wie es ist, mit seiner Familie so eng zusammen zu arbeiten, so:
„ 'Danke' ist ein zu kleines Wort, wenn man das Glück hat, mit seinem Gold zusammen zu arbeiten!“
Eine Familie, die echtes Schuhhandwerk liebt und in der jeder seine Expertise einbringt.

A few weeks ago Sofie and Morten Svenninggaard visited us in our store and we discussed further joint projects.
Here at DFM, we find it very important that all our shoes match the clothes in our store. Therefore, all leather colors are matched to the garments we order and their colors.
The shoes are often available exclusively at DFM in the selected color and leather.
