Annette Pfister

This is what the artist says about herself:
“I am a trained architectural ceramist and special needs caregiver. I love people, with all their quirks. And I love ceramics, which can be just as diverse and enchanting, which makes me feel my limits and at times seems unconquerable.
The chemistry has to be right and wonderful things can emerge. I am so grateful to life, which has taught me so many things.
I was able to learn two wonderful professions, travelled overland with my partner all the way to Mongolia and lived in Greece for more than two years. I became the mother of two children.
Ceramics has always accompanied me, challenged me and enriched me.”
In her home region, the Markgräflerland, Annette has set up a small studio for herself.
She works with various stoneware bodies, porcelain and red earthenware and uses very few ready-made glazes and engobes.
She fires in an electric kiln, but much prefers firing in her Sälzer wood-firing kiln – a traditional firing technique that uses real wood and leaves its very own signature on the ceramics.
Fire, earth, water, air. Wood firing unites all the elements. Discover a selection of unique pieces with us, which we had the privilege of accompanying in their creation.
It would make a wonderful Christmas gift for your loved ones who appreciate art and individuality!
