Today it's about an absolutely fascinating bird... in ornithology, it is considered extremely versatile, clever, and also a bit cheeky. Sounds like the perfect mix, doesn't it?
Do you already know which bird it is?
We are talking about the CROW
Crows are considered extremely intelligent - they can use tools and even make them themselves. They have been observed, among other things, deliberately bending wire to access food.
The New Caledonian crow even understands cause-effect logic at the approximate level of a three-year-old.
They provide the information about a specific face and even share the associated information with their peers, effectively using a social warning system.
Some species live in complex social structures and efficiently distribute certain tasks within the families.
Crows also mourn their peers and gather, for instance, at the site of an accident. Researchers suspect the gathering is also about identifying the source of danger and having it in the collective memory.

Crows have a pronounced play instinct and, for example, throw sticks into the air and catch them again. They sometimes even surf on snowy rooftops – observations show the sole purpose is fun with the activity.
Did you know that crows have different dialects? Depending on the region, crows have different sound variants with which they communicate. If a crow moves to a new area, it is able to learn this new "dialect."
Crows are absolutely fascinating birds and thus it is absolutely legitimate that Carsten Rundholz dedicates one of the colors in his RUNDHOLZ collection to these birds with the color "CROW MELANGE."
A beautiful, rich gray that we combine with BLACK as a highlight.
