For Ioanna Kourbela, the movement of the body and the dynamic interaction with the garment are the fundamental element of her creative thinking. Ioanna studied fashion design and painting and took courses in costume and stage design. Her collections are directly inspired by visual arts, theater and music, as well as global fashion trends, making her one of the contemporary "ambassadors" of Greek creativity.

Recognizing a long tradition in the Greek clothing industry, she took over the creative direction of the brand in 2003 and presented the collection IOANNA KOURBELA BASICS, which won the Emerging Designer Award at the international exhibition "PURE" in London in 2016.
